Terms of Service

1. Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use Horizons. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide during registration is accurate and complete.

2. Not Financial Advice

The Service is an informational and educational tool only. New Moon Labs, Inc. is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner, or tax preparer under any federal or state law. The Service does not provide, and shall not be construed as providing, personalized investment advice, financial planning advice, tax advice, or any recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, insurance product, or financial instrument.

All projections, models, optimization analyses, and outputs generated by the Service are based on assumptions, inputs, and parameters provided by you. These outputs represent hypothetical scenarios and possible outcomes — not predictions, guarantees, or recommendations. You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make, whether or not informed by the Service. See our Financial Disclaimer for details.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Horizons only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:

• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service, other accounts, or connected systems.
• Transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful data through the service.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the service without prior written consent.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service.

4. Subscription & Billing

Horizons offers a free tier with core features and a Pro tier with advanced capabilities. Details of each plan are described on our pricing page.

• Free Tier: Available at no cost with limited features. No payment information is required.
• Pro Tier: Billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file at the start of each billing period.
• You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to Pro features until that date.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at contact@chartyourhorizons.com for refund requests.

5. Intellectual Property

Horizons, including all content, features, functionality, designs, code, and trademarks, is owned by New Moon Capital and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for personal, non-commercial financial planning purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the service without prior written consent.

6. Financial Advisor Accounts

If you register as a Financial Advisor, you represent and warrant that you are duly licensed and registered as required by applicable federal and state law to provide financial advice to your clients. You are solely responsible for:

• Obtaining your clients' informed consent before creating accounts on their behalf or accessing their financial data.
• Ensuring that any advice you provide to clients complies with your fiduciary obligations and applicable regulations.
• Safeguarding client data accessed through the Service.

When viewing a client's account through the impersonation feature, you will have access to all financial data within that client's profile. All advisor access to client data is logged in our audit system. Advisor accounts are billed on a per-seat basis (Starter $79/month, Growth $149/month, or custom Firm pricing).

7. Limitation of Liability

Horizons is an informational tool designed to help you explore financial scenarios. It is not a financial advisor, and nothing in the service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, New Moon Capital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of Horizons shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users, the service, or New Moon Capital. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or in-app notice. Continued use of Horizons after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
